He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in Nigeria as well as a distinction in a postgraduate diploma in Public Health Research from the James Lind Institute, Switzerland. In his time with APIN Public Health Initiatives under the PEPFAR_CDC funded HIV/AIDS program, he has contributed to the development of the National M&E Strategic Framework, policy formulations that support in-country M&E frameworks and systems, provided technical support for national HIV/AIDS report writing, supported the development and routine updates to the organization’s M&E plan, facilitated health care workers (HCWs) training and strengthening monitoring and evaluation systems. In his time in these roles, he has gained an excellent technical understanding of monitoring and evaluation for HIV/AIDS as well as a strong technical grasp of reporting processes and systems, especially with the implementation of DHIS2 software for aggregate data. Ade has deployed DHIS2 for weekly reporting in response to data demand and use for data-driven program management for more than 400 facilities across 147 local government areas in 7 states. He currently provides technical support for all issues concerning the APIN DHIS2 platforms and drives the data exchange processes with the PEPFAR DATIM platform for reportable indicators quarterly. Ade is proficient with R and the RStudio software for data analysis and routinely uses this proficiency to run scripts that check for errors during quarterly reporting cycles which has increased APIN’s data quality by as much as 90%. His advanced data analytics skills using Microsoft Excel has enabled the design of several automated templates which check for gaps and consistencies among logic checks saving time by more than 65%. Ade enjoys discussions surrounding the applications of innovative approaches to program implementation and data management, demand, and use for evidence-based decision making.
